Your suggestions on a GREAT car insurance company
Please share some names of insurance companies that you would recommend and why. I live in Texas and own a 2008 C6 Z51 LS3 A6 that is used for pleasure only but is driven year round. I'm looking for a company to supply replacement insurance on the vehicle. Your suggestions please.

Go with collector car insurance, i.e. Hagerty. Most will cover new Corvettes, as long as you have an insured "everyday" car for each adult in the household. Collector car insurance is agreed value, so you determine what your car is worth (within reason). That becomes the amount for which you are insured, not the usual blue book lowball.

As a insurance adjuster with a major company here in Texas I recommend to use the big companys: State Farm, Allstate, Farmers. Remember you get what you pay for! The smaller companys will nickel and dime you to death!!

I have my four cars and my home insured with State Farm and with all the discounts, I get a great rate, and service. I have State Farm's collector car insurance on my two old Vettes, with agreed value, but they limit you on when, and where, you can drive the cars. very restrictive if you just want to hop in the car and drive. I have their normal insurance on my 09 Z06($48/month) but with an annual mileage not to exceed 7,500 miles.
If you go with an agreed value collector car policy, be sure you understand their restrictions on use, not just their restrictions on annual mileage. You don't want to end up driving your C6 to a local restaurant and get in a wreck and not be covered, because you were not on a club activity, etc.

Been with State Farm for many years, premiums very reasonable, never a hassle with any claims, never had rates raised.

AMICA. Low prices (a mutual company), fantastic customer service, everything done over the phone. Over 50 years with them, and never a single hassle or delay with a claim.

I have been a USAA member for 43 years with never an issue. If you can qualify, that is my recommendation.
