any other fuse you want to choose....I just used the seat heaters because they were easily accessible.

Any other one under 20amps is fine.

Are you sure you do not have the seat heater slot in the fuse pane anyway?

Thanks.

Do you know what's the wavelength if the IR beam? I would love to have one but fear it will interfere with my V1.

It will not interfere at all........It is not putting out enough power to come close the setting off the V1. A friend of mine has one on his C5 with a V1 and no issues at all...

I do not know the wavelength.....

Sorry

Jim

Jim,

I watched your video on the installation. I noticed that you placed the sensor in the middle of bumper. Where do you install it if you have a front license plate bracket?

No problem, the V1 is just so sensitive I worried about setting it off constantly. If he's having no problems I should not either.

Thanks

I have to say that this system seems to be a lot better than the old school curb alerts

One of the biggest fears with purchasing the Curb Alert is the installation, folks are unsure how "difficult" the installation is.

To make it easy for Corvette drivers, we just created a Corvette specific Curb Alert install package for the C6 that allows you to do the whole installation within 1 hour. Checkout the video on the page below and you can see the entire installation on a 2009 C6.

Corvette Curb Alert

This is a Southern Car Parts exclusive Corvette Curb Alert package for that has everything crimped and ready to go. Run the wires and plug it in to the fuse box under the passenger floor board and you are off and running.

Just select the Corvette Specific Package when checking out and we will "pre-stage" everything for you prior to shipping so you can install it exactly like in the video.

Video is down towards the bottom of the page....

Where do you install sensor if you have a front end bra?
What will protect the curb alert sensor from getting knocked off?

Same situation here on 2005 base coupe. I don't have the heated seat option and didn't want that anyway. So where else can I plug into

Actually, You can use any other fuse slot you want...Just make sure and plug the fuse you remove into the extra slot on the adapter for the curb alert....

As far as install with a bra, you would have to find an open spot in the bra where you could attach the Curb Alert to the car. That might be a little tricky since the Bra probably covers everything on the front of the car.

Does the sensor screw into front or is it 3M tape?

I have the same question about what is used to mount the sensor. But I also would like to know how the indicator/buzzer is mounted inside the vehicle, magnet, 3M, screw? Thanks.

Both the sensor and the buzzer are attached with 3M tape, no screws or drilling needed.

Jim
Since attachment is via 3M tape it is still not acceptable to mount that onto front end bra which is in the way?

Absolutely agree with you....it will be challenging to install with a bra.
