Default For All you Convertible Owners!?

I just got a silver 2011 GS Convertible. Now I am asking you guys who has the best priced windscreen?? I have not driven with the top down yet since I just picked it up a few days ago. Letting the top stretch out since they had it down in the show room floor. Also those of you that have it installed how do you like it??

Thanks in advance for your responses..

Never found I needed one and have owned multiple Corvette converts. I have driven mine with the top down on the freeway many times at 70-75 and never really was bothered by any excessive wind buffeting in my C6.

I never felt like I needed one either, and I do 500 mile trips with the top down....however, if you have a wife that feels it's necessary, better to get one.

I wouldn't worry about that they really do not shrink or stretch enough to make any difference.

I just sold a Corvette convert that had the light tan top with 98k miles on it and many times I left the top down for 2-3 months at a time and it didn't look any different when I put it up then if I had it down for just a few hours. Top still looked like new when I sold it and I just cleaned and treated it with RaggTopp products once a year to keep it looking new.

That's the only one that I have seen that can stay in place with the top up and down...seems like the most important feature to me.

I have this and it is great. I really like that you can put the top up and down without having to remove the windrestrictor. Lights up too.

I do think there is significant wind buffeting unlike some of my C1 Vettes of yesteryear. I have less than 1/3 the hair I had 50 yrs ago but I definitly feel the need to comb today and I do not remember having that need then. I don't have a wind screen and not likely to get one. If I am driving on a thruway at 70-80mph I tend to raise the windows. They do reduce the wind somewhat. Give it a try before you make a decision. If I am with the wife at that speed, I can assure you the top is up. Her noise can be loader than the wind.

I use the GM Wind Deflector. It works great when my wife is riding with me with the top off. Bought it from one of the Forum Vendors.

Other windscreens are not exactly cheap so you might as go with one that you can leave installed no matter if the roof is up or down.

I have the vette net. Only use it on long highway trips. Honestly not worth the price. If it stayed in yes. I forgot the brackets on the sides and chipped the fiberglass on the inside when it closed.

Her top was off ... or your top was down? I know peeps say it makes a difference, but just looks funky (pimped if it has lights) and is what, a wall behind you - and more like a coup, so why have a vert?
