This is what the C6 mount looks like...It's absolutely worth the money, the thing is rock solid, and looks like it came stock on the car.

If you use suction cups, try a dob of clear silicone to hold them better.

Get from forum vendor Southern Car Parts. Great outfit and I have purchased from them a few times now.

I have the larger suction cut and found that it holds better. No issues with that. As somebody else posted, I also run the wire directly to the fuse box. I tried the cable to the mirror, but that didn't work out so good. The problem I have with the mount, is that sometimes, when I aggressively hit second gear (manual) the detector comes out of the mount. Mind you the bracket is still attached to the glass. Real PINA. Went round and round with Escort on in, sent them by radar detector, and they sent me a new mount. Same problem. Does't lock in solid enough for aggressive driving.

I just hate suction cups on the window, get a visor mount or Blendmount,I personally like the visor mount I have better, because it's higher up and doesn't obstruct the view out in any way.

We have the blendmounts bundled with our detectors packages or sold separate..

Agree with you, it is a very good mount.

I have a custom one made by a forum member and it works great, do not like it stuck in the middle of the window and works great with the cord to the mirror

Here's what I use: http://greatlakestrophies.com/shoppi...HATC=No&HPP=No

I've an 8500X50, tried their (GLT's) mirror mount. Loved the concept; but, found over time the attachment would vibrate itself loose. Besides that irritating & detracting flaw I never was comfortable with the knowledge it could easily be viewed by thieves and/or viewed by a LEO during a potential stop, anyway.

The visor mount's completely stable & totally out-of-sight from outside without compromising the detector's range, best of all it was inexpensive compared with the other aftermarket holders.

With the detector wired into the mirror's power pins it has been exactly what I wanted, combined with DashTronics the readout on the HUD comes is really handy whenever the radio's volume is loud, also.

No trouble here with either the Corvettes or the daily drivers - - sometimes works better to wet the cups first, and hold them in place for a few seconds. They flatten out in time, so I generally exchange them a coupleof times a year when they get hammered in the Arizona sun.

Maybe it's less pliable in the cold?

I put a drop of crazy glue in each suction cup. It helps.

Get the visor mount. It's great and not noticeable with it under the visor. I leave the top down and you dont see it looking in. Made sure you get the longer cord to attach to the power mirror. I have the 9500x

+1 for Blendmount

It's a very nicely engineered piece that fits the detector nice and tight to the mirror.

OK. Another dumb question.......how do you hook it up to the mirror? Is there a phone type plug-in on the mirror?
