Can you program out/disable the 3 flashes of turn signal?
I have a C6Z - I want to flash the turn signal 1x to change lanes but when I engage it, it always flashes 3 times then stops. Is there a way to disarm, disable........dis..integrate that puppy?
Thanks.
Thanks.

It will flash only once if you move the stalk far enough to actually activate the signal and then turn it off by hand (gotta go to the cklck both ways)...The little bump that gives it three blinks was put in there for lane changes so I dunno why you don't like it...

If you just want to flick the lights to confuse people, just rotate the headlight switch to both limits while tapping the brake.
Why would you object to the 3 flashes? They are there to make it easier to signal your intention without requiring you to remember to turn them off after you make the lane change or forcing you to hold the stack while you make the change. And, no, you can't disable this "feature".

If you hold it a little long, it will only flash once.

To answer the question - No

What I love is people who flash once AFTER they've made the lane change!

I'm with the others here - why would you only want one flash. Is there any downside at all to it flashing three times? It's actually funny you ask because more than once I've wished it flashed more than three times. I'd like about five.

why would you want to just blink once? you might as well not signal at all...
BUT...
I think that you're not really interested in blinking just once, you just don't want the blinker to think for you? In other words, you still would blink 3 times, you just want control over the blinking... in which case, you have a control issues my friend (me too, I felt the same way when I first got the car )

No. In the State of California, you are required to signal for 5 seconds prior to a lane change. One blink does not get it.

I agree with everyone, you feel you need only one blink to change lanes? WTF are you thinking?? How can 3 blinks really bother you? I would think this one through. Who knows, their might even be a legal reason for the 3 blinks.

I like the three blinks. Only time I don't is when I signal to change and realize someone is there and there are two extra blinks after I've already decided not to change.
If three blinks is your biggest worry, life is good.

A single turn-flash is not very courteous or safe, personally I'd like the auto-flash to go 6-flashes, that way Barbie has plenty of time to get out of my way ...

I'll admit there have been several times that I've triggered the 3 blinks, and then changed my mind about the lane change (blink first, ask questions later!). If you change your mind after you've started the sequence, you don't want to feel like that "jerk in a sports car weaving through traffic", so my inclination is to stop the blinking.
At first, my gut reaction was to pull the turn signal the other direction (which then triggers the sequence the other way....and accentuate's the "old confused guy in a sports car" stigma. I finally figured out what's been posted above about just passing through the clicks on the turn signal control stalk and returning it to neutral which will stop the sequence and usually in one blink (or less).
My issue is that my other cars don't have that feature. I find myself not signaling all the time in the family kid haulers because I nudge the turn signal and it doesn't start the 3 blink sequence. Which I guess makes me the "old guy who dreams he's driving his Vette even while he's piloting the mini-van!"

It's Bad enough most people don't even use their turn signals
If I saw someones turn signal, blink only once, there's no way I would think they're changing lanes
If anything, I'd think they tapped the brakes and one of their rear light bulbs is burned out.
Considering how many don't use the turn signals, the auto makers could save a lot of money by not putting turn signals in the vehicle
( little voice in my head says " don't give them any ideas "
