62 Deg Here in NY ... Had the Vette out for a 60 mile drive!
Like the title says.. it was 62 deg here today, & I took the Vette out for a 60 mile ride.. Weather was "GREAT" .. & I consider myself "VERY LUCKY" to have had such good driving weather here in NY this late in the season!
Hell if we can "Squeeze" through Jan. then all we have to do is struggle through Feb. and Raceway Park opens last week in Feb for Test & Tune. (Weather Permitting) but by March 1st I'll be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!
I don't even plan on "winterizing it, I'll just take it out when the roads are dry, and if its cold I'll drive easy, but "WILL DRIVE IT !!"

I'm in Maryland, I went over to the car wash this afternoon to get the spots off from the surprise rain on New Years and dropped the top for the cruise home! Weather was amazing.

Was crying a little yesterday.....I could have driven the Vette to golf in 60 degree temps, but I'd committed to the wife for a day in NYC with a matinee and dinner.
Gotta check those long range forecasts more carefully.

It was a nice weekend in my part of upstate NY. Did not was to take the vette out because there is way too much salt dust and sand on the roads. If there had been a hard rain to wash it off I would have been tempted...

Unfortunately, that warm front stalled out before it made it up to northern New England. We "warmed up" to about freezing; but that was accompanied by snow showers and poor road conditions.
So far this winter, I haven't had one single day where the roads were clean enough to take the Vette out of the garage for a run. That's depressing!

Had mine out both Saturday and Sunday, here in central Pennsylvania. Added another 150 miles on the clock. I don't take the top off until the ambient air is at 75 degrees. The heated seats worked real good Saturday night after dinner.
