Website says they will not lock into a C6 Z06 and ZR1. Is that because of the widebody? Question is would they lock into a C6 Grandsport, which is also a widebody?

It's the frame on z06/zr1. Not the wide body. These fit GS.

Default Just installed

I will agree I love this product, but as some others have noted, they do not fit perfectly tight as delivered, and I worried about rattling. I too found that there is a groove cut around the perimeter and took a trip over to my local hardware store and bought some large O-rings. Just adding those to the groove was enough to nicely take up the space and allowed these to fit tightly. I tested the pucks on jack this weekend and it was much easier than using removable pucks, and if on the road or having the car on a lift the pucks are always there to protect the frame and lower panels.

The only thing the manufacturer would do better is to simply included O'rings with the product!

Does anyone know, or could you measure please, the thickness of the puck? I'd like to know how much hangs down.

Thanks

I purchased some other lock in pucks that were square. They stayed in for a while but, when I went jack it up 2 were missing.:total:
I still carry used hockey pucks.

Leave in Place Corvette Jacking Pucks

The link just took me to a page for a hood bra I think. So I searched “jacking puck” and got two options.

What is the difference between part numbers 300-002-1 & LP001?

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,

That's odd, I'll get this corrected in a sec. The LP001 is the puck style we're discussing here. For this price you're getting a set of four of pucks that will lock into place and stay put. Other pucks need to be removed when you're not using them.

Thanks,
Dave

I'm a soon to be owner of a Corvette. Can you tell me if this is ok. With the pucks in place, if I jack one side of the car up, place an axle stand under the cross member and then lower than jack and do the other side. Is this ok or will it stress the cross member?

The ultimate jacking solution for your Corvette C6 or C5. Brand new, leave in place jacking pucks. Our Corvette jacking pucks are low profile and will last as long as you own your car. They "pop" right in to your jack hole and you can then leave them in place without ever needing to remove them. The easily snap into place and will be there if you ever need to jack up your car. The are not noticeable under the car and look like a factory OEM piece (not sure why GM did not include them in the first place). They can also be popped right back out if you ever need to remove them. Made from durable plastic, they will last the life of your car and you can rest assured you will never be stuck in a situation where you need to jack up the car and do not have jacking pucks.

These are what I'm using and they've been there for at least a couple of years. No problems. I haven't noticed any noise. Good product.

No, not safe for jackstands... their rounded smooth shape will surely allow slippage. Jacking vettes are always going to be a minor PITA because of their ground clearance. Many opinions on that, my routine consists of jacking one side via the pucks, putting a pre-made length of 3 glued/screwed 2x10's under each wheel on that side, then same on the other side. Then can jack from the front and/or rear x-members & put jackstands under them.

I have these pucks for my GS. Nice product, but they do not fit tight and I'm sure if I left them in (without adding o-rings or sealant), some or all would be gone when the time came to use them. So I just keep them in a plastic bag in the cubby in the back. When I go in for service, it's easy enough to stop before pulling in to the rack and pop them on.

I put them in my C6 base and forgot about them. About six months later I looked under the car and 3 were gone. (A little RTV would have taken care of that). Oh well.....

If they were ours, we'd have replaced, no charge.

Same idea, I used weather strip adhesive on all 4 to secure them.

They do what they’re supposed to do and no one knows they’re there,...great product, recommend them,...
