I wouldn't bother with the side markers. If you do stick to red or amber.

Might seem like a dumb question but how do you remove license plate bulbs? I would like to do those. Thanks.

I saw this on a 2007 C6 when I was car shopping, at the time thought it was standard equipment in an 07, It was really sharp the car I saw it in had them in blue, definitely on my list of must haves.

I thought the map lights were a 212-s or something for the size?

There is one pic of passenger side to see the diff from driver side. Enjoy and thanks JWMotoring for Holiday special.

A lot of Vette owners have complained that if you change the rear compartment bulbs to LEDs you will notice that when you close the hatch and the lights dim, they won't go all the way out. Even though the current is very small, leaving the LEDs on for a long time will run down the battery. All that is necessary to fix the problem is to connect a resistor in parallel with the rear compartment LEDs. Some of the LED suppliers sell these resistors.

Yep, I got the answer directly from GM. What happens is the body control module (BCM) is looking for a certain current to be running through the bulbs in the circuit. The BCM monitors the current as it dials it down from 100% (full brightness of the bulbs) to 0% (off). When you replace the regular bulbs with LEDs, which have a much lower current draw, the BCM gets faked out and thinks the LEDs are off when they are still on a little bit. The remaining current is small, granted, but over time it is enough to drain the battery. Putting a 50 watt, 47 - 50 ohm resistor in parallel with the LEDs increases the current draw and makes the BCM think it's still dealing with regular bulbs, and it will dial the current down to 0%-----LEDs full off. GM said you can get by with 10 watt resistors, but they will get HOT, so I used 50 watt resistors, which only get warm. The resistors only cost a couple of bucks each, problem solved.

I notice this with the map lights under rearview mirror. In a dark garage you can see them lit. If the hood is up the maps lights stay off.
