All that is necessary to fix the problem is to connect a resistor in parallel with the rear compartment LEDs. Some of the LED suppliers sell these resistors.
How much time or how long before LEDs wear out battery? i.e. map lights?

I've heard of it happening in the map lights (I have it noted), but never the rear hatch/trunk.

It's not just C6's either. It happens in some of the 370Z's I sell to as well. It's rare though.
Would this still happen to the older cars from the 80's or only with the newer computer controlled cars?

I doubt it. I've never tried though.
How serious is the drain from the map lights from LED bulbs when car is off?
i.e. if you drive car twice a week will this have any kind of impact on battery?

Most C6s you want to start at least every 2 weeks even without leds. Anything longer and I would use a battery tender.
I should be good then as I drive and start it twice a week and am still on my original battery from 2005. All tests indicate battery is in great condition.

Wanted to thank Jhonothan for the interior light kit. Just got them installed and the difference is impressive to say the least! The bright white really compliments the Arctic White exterior.

Install was a bit challenging...not hard but some awkward angles to work with and the map lights are frustrating. Trying to get that damn kite string slipnot around that bulb and then tighten it...arrrgggghhh!

Anyway, thanx. I love 'em

I just used a pair of needle nose pliers with a cloth wrapped around the end to pull the bulb from the rearview mirror. worked fine

Glove box bulb removal and install was easy. You just have to get a good grip on it and pull it out.

JW,

The trunk lights that I installed worked fine at first, then half the time i open the trunk, the lights were very dim and would not light up, other times they would light up fine....any solutions? or are they defective bulbs?

Thanks

I just finished installing the interior and exterior LED lights including the new high power LED back-up lights. Absolutely fantastic difference! I wish I had done this earlier. Time to do the rest of the lights. No more "Yellow" for me!

Try out those LED strips JM sells for the footwells. They do make a difference.
