Based on my mileage, it's only once a year; each Spring when it come out of hibernation.

I go by the DIC, or once a year (I believe this is what the owners manual states)

The ol 3000 mile rule is just that, an old myth and a waste (unless you track your car regularly)

I follow the book. Oil Life Remaining or no longer than annually. Since I don't put that many miles on the car, it works out to annually. That was also the recommendation of my engine builder.....

I have a question for the more enlightened here. Many here don't drive their Vette very often so would the OLM take into account any changes to the oil based on time? I thought that over longer periods of time the oil would tend to break down or absorb moisture making it not as effective. That may not be the case for synthetics so I am all ears.
Personally, I am going to drive mine every day it isn't snowing so time is moot for me, but I am curious.
