Default Manual Grand Sport Convertibles...

When I was looking for my GS Convertible one of the must's for me was a manual transmission. I couldn't find one locally and had to travel 375 miles to find one in stock. Just curious.... how many of you have a manual transmission in your Grand Sport Convertible?

GS verts DO NOT have the dry sump - and the engines were not hand built

But yes - I have the manual transmission. My C5 was an A4 and I always wish I would have gotten a stick. I can't believe how much fun I missed not driving a stick - especially in a Vette!

I'm heading to Ron Fellows Spring Mountain Performance Driving School next week to get even better at it too!

I thought I read that GS manual transmission C6's came with the dry sumps but automatics did not. Guess I need to learn to read. Better.

Ah! Only GS coupes with manual trans are dry sumps. I didn't read thr whole story !!

I don't have a GS but in 2010, 29.1% (680) were sticks and in 2011, 25.4%(705) were sticks.

75% of G/S convertible owners purchase automatic transmission equipped cars; thus dealers don't order many manual transmision equipped cars.

Yes, I did notice that, it seems only the very large Corvette dealers stock a few.
