I just got a catalog from a company in Tacoma, Washington named Groit's Garage. They have a lot of wax, polishes, equipment and garage supplies. This is the first time I have ever heard of them. They are pretty much like Mid America. Are any of you familiar with them? How's their stuff?
Their stuff is great! Being a local, I've been to their shop numerous times and purchased a lot of their goods. They also give a lot back to the car enthusiast community, hosting numerous demos, detailing workshops, and car gatherings. I highly recommend their products.
I've ordered from them in the past. They have some neat items.. can be a bit pricey but sell stuff you might not find elsewhere.. sort of a "Sharper Image" for automotive supplies.
It's GRIOT'S (gree-oh) Garage. I've bought many items from. I requested that my brother give me a gift certificate from them for Xmas for the last several years. No problems. Unique stuff!
I may get some wheel cleaning supply's from them, don't know how I started getting the catalogs.
As mentioned, Griots carries quality products, but you can get many of them elsewhere. For any type of car wax, wheel cleaners, ext, you may want to check with forum vendor "autogeek.net", as they pretty much have it all. They sometimes e-mail out discount offers, so maybe ask about it, when you contact them.
I really like Griot's Garage. Their tools, etc. are on the higher priced side, but are of good quality. I've purchased quite a bit of their detailing products, and I don't find them any higher priced than any of the other boutique shops, and they are actually quite a bit less expensive than most.
My two favorite products of theirs are their Paint Cleaning Clay and their Paint Sealant. The Paint Sealant is extremely durable and has a great shine. I use it on my daily driver. I've not used it on my Vette because I've always used other stuff on it, though I wouldn't have any hesitation about using it on the Vette.
Their Speed Shine detailer is decent, and is particularly good as a lubricant for Paint Cleaning Clay.
Their Window Cleaner is decent for removing streaks from a clean window, but is not particularly good at removing heavy "stuff" from a dirty window, such as bird droppings or winter salt. I like to have the Window Cleaner around as the "final" treatment of the window, after I've used other cleaners to get the big dirt off.
I'll admit that I don't care for their Best-of-Show wax. It gets great reviews, but I found it a little hard to work with, and made my Velocity Yellow 2008 look a little dull (not easy to do!). I suspect that I may have used too much of it (though I try to use waxes sparingly), but I've got enough other satisfactory alternatives that I immediately stripped off the Best-of-Show and gave the bottle away.
I like their Random Orbital polisher.

Good stuff, some of it is overpriced and can be gotten elsewhere, but some of it is unique and even better priced than elsewhere. My favorites are the wheel cleaner, interior cleaner and the speed shine. His boar's hair brush is outrageously expensive but I love it.
They also have good tips on the web site - such as the one that Bill did not read, that says you should apply the wax very sparingly.
I have used their products for a number of years now & have been quite satisfied. They have a lot of neat & unique items for the garage. Will continue to use them in the future.
