Hey everyone, I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. My name is Dave, and I look forward to being a part of the community. I've wanted a Corvette for as long as I can remember, and I finally grabbed one! I'm so excited!

Here she is. So purdy!




And, I'm a bit of an audio enthusiast, so a sound upgrade is already in the mix.

Welcome. How do you like the black spyder wheels with the yellow stripe. I am switching out my stock wheels this spring for spyders and I am trying to decide which ones to get. I was shying away from the yellow pinstripe as the stripe is not color matched to the yellow of the car. Pics never tell the story, so your opinion as to how they look in person would be great. I love my yellow '05, hope you love yours as much!

Welcome. You are right, "She's so purdy"!! I like the wheels. That coming from a guy with an '08 VY coupe with chrome wheels. I would love to see some more pictures of the car/wheels in the bright sun.

I absolutely LOVE the look of the black rims with stripe, especially on the spyders. The only problem I have with them is that the previous owner actually plasti-dipped and painted the rims to get that look. Whoever did it did a wonderful job, but I just don't like the idea of plasti-dipped rims, so I'll come up with a different solution eventually. I might strip the plasti-dip and powdercoat the rims, but I've read mixed feelings about powdercoating rims, so I may not go with that option. Lucky for me, you can't tell unless you look REALLY closely, so I don't have to be in a huge rush to make a decision.

Since my rims were plasti-dipped and painted, I can't speak to the color matching of an aftermarket set of spyders. All I CAN say is that i think it's a very tasteful look, if the paint is close. Mine is pretty close, but if you look closely, you can tell that it wasn't paint matched.

Thanks! I sure would rather have it in Scottsdale. El Paso isn't exactly the mecca for sports car enthusiasts. I can't even find an upholstering shop!
