Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 tires
Looking to change out shortly the Firestone Wide Oval RFT's sized 245/40 R18 fronts and 285/35 R19 rears with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 tires sized slightly wider @ 255/35 R18 fronts and 295/30 R18 rears on the same comp gray 08 split 5 spoke Corvette wheels. Anyone have these tires and what's you impression of them?
TIA.

Love them. They are pretty predictable. They sometimes do not feel that sticky and can break loose when hitting the gas, but on the other hand they have lasted over 25,000 miles since a little over a year. I have taken them both to Willow Springs raceway and auto-crossing, and both the car and the tires are a lot better than I am. They are much lighter than the run flats so the car will feel livelier.
Getting them slightly wider is a very good idea because their side walls seem to curve in more than most of the others.

I've only had them on for a couple thousand miles and so far they are worlds better than the runflats as far as road noise and ride quality go.
Dirt cheap too!

Planning on picking up a second set of wheels (OEM Black Spyder replicas) and running these tires on my '07 Coupe. Cant wait to see the difference before/after from looks to performance!

I know you can go a max of 305 on the rears on stock rims, w/o rubbing--anyone know the max on fronts? I feel like 265 sounds about right but does anyone know for sure? I had it written down somewhere but I can't find the paper.

The stock tread width and diameter of the Firestone Wide Oval RFT's are;
front 8.3" wide and 25.7 diameter
rear 10.2" wide and 26.5" diameter
The tread width and diameter of the Hankook Vertus V12 EVO K110's are;
front 10.2 wide and 25" diameter requiring a 8.5-10" wide wheel, stock being 8.5
rear 10.5 wide and 26" diameter requiring a 10-11" wide wheel, stock being 10".
Will the difference in the wider, yet shorter, Hankook tires upset the traction control or any other of the nanny's?
TIA Again.

I'm also looking at purchasing these tires this spring. Does anyone have pictures of the tires on the car? Any truth to the statement above about them running a bit narrow compared to the GYs?

Love these tires. Had them on My IS350. They're a jack of all trades type of tire in my opinion, especially for the price. I just bought my vette, and it has michelins on it which are great, but when I finally have to replace them, the V12's will be my pick for sure.

fwiw, I have the V12 Ventus Evo Hankook (whatever) tires on my 2009 C6 and after a year I'm completely happy with them. I'm not a real "performance" driver though, but overall I think I made the right choice for my kind of everyday driving. I just don't see how you can miss with these tires, especially considering their relatively low cost.

Are they all season wet and dry or summer/dry only tire?
