MT Grand Sport vs. 911 S

However, I think the Z06 or Z06 carbon is a better dollar to dollar comparison

Frankly, I like both cars - all cars that actually work well and even some that have a bit of a "reliability concern (most Italian jobs and your average English car) for their aesthetic and driver oriented efforts.
And I like my rough around the edges (not so much really), old fashioned pushrod v8 in a light and 50/50 chassis just fine.
Lots of pretty girls out there. Don't sell yourself short on just one.
Just sayin'

All of the 997s I've been in have been great, but something could've changed for the '12 redesign.

I think everyone on the planet agrees that in the bang for the buck comparison, the Corvette wins hands down.
That's already been decided.
Yes, the Porsche is a lot more money. But if you HAVE a lot more money then you get the Porsche and with it comes great steering feel, a car that doesn't jump sideways when you nail the gas and better fit and finish inside and out.
If money is no object, I'm driving the 458.
If I hit the lottery for a couple hundred K, I might just spring for the Porsche.
On my budget, I'm happy with my Corvette.

really not a fair comparison at all, forget about the price difference! the corvette is still 6 model years old, the Porsche completely redesigned this year. Can't wait till the C7 spanks it in all categories.

Actually if you watched the begining, it was a $76k GS vs a $131k 911S!!!!! That is $55k difference. More than the price of a base C6.
That is more than a ZR1,, To me these head to heads mean the Vette wins, if they are constantly going to take a much cheaper Vette to compare.

I could care less about the Porche,I bought my Vette because of its looks and its American.Even if I won the Powerball,I still wouldn't buy the most expensive sports car out there.I love the style and everything about the Vette.Maybe I would upgrade to the ZR-1.To me,I have always thought the P's were ugly and could not figure out why anyone would buy one.

Great Video, 2 fantastic sports cars that are great for different reasons. I can't understand why anyone would knock a car they know so little about and most likely never driven.- guess cause it ain't Merican enough....

What is even more Merican is the right not to like something including cars. I have driven & had family members that own a Porsche, and still do not like them. I appreciate how the car responds and handles. But for me not only do I want that, I want the car to look good also. That is why I like the Corvette. It is the perfect combination of power, handling & looks.
