Nice cars, but Chevy could do a lot with fixing the C6 sins if people wanted to pay another 40-60k.
Different cars, different markets. The vette is the poor man's porche.

For the differences mentioned in the video there's no way the P car is worth $50K more (as tested) over a GS.
For the price of $131,760 the comparison should have been with the similarly priced C6 (the ZR1).
The comparison would have been quite one sided at that point in every way with the suspension, brakes and power that accompanies the ZR

Good for Mckenzie's opinion. I'll take a corvette over a Porsche any day. I had a 2003 996TT that I bought brand new, drove for 5 years & replaced with a 2008 Z06. The porsche was okay, but I preferred the Z06 for a better one with the car feeling( & oh yeah, the porsche cost twice as much. Way way overpriced for what you get)

They compare a $75K Corvette to a $130K Porsche.
Why wasn't it the $110K ZR1 vs the $130K Porsche. The P car would still be spotted $20K and in performance, it would not even be close.
And they wonder why many of us think all of the rags are biased?

My thoughts exactly. I think its called controlling your outcome.

With $$ like that the Porsche should be twice the car. And everyone, probably even the biased writers know it's not.

I think it was an attempt to keep the comparison linked to the product hierarchy. The Base 991 would be compared to the base Vette. The 991S would be compared to the GS. The 991 GT3 (when it comes out) would be compared to the Z06, and the 991 Turbo or 991 GT2 (when they come out) would be compared to the ZR1.
Why is it that an individual's subjective assessment that is different than yours is always considered wrong, or biased to a specific brand/country/continent?

911's are brilliant. If you have never driven one you need to. You would s*** yourself at how refined the chassis is in a 1985 911. Step up to a 993 era (last of the air cooled)and it gets better. I haven't had the pleasure of seat time In a water Pumper but I can only imagine they're even better.
I chose Vette for the muscle car feel and sound, you can't get that in a 911.
My point.........you shouldn't knock it till you try it. You may not lime the song being sung but that doesn't mean its a bad singer

$50,000 is a lot of money. You could almost buy 2 GS Corvettes for one of the rather bland looking Porsche cars.
Obviously you have deep admiration for the Porsche as you show up on every thread with a Porsche mentioned in it. However you would be taken more seriously if you could at least be honest or fair when cheerleading for the Porsche.

Corvette the sport car bench mark to legitimize all others. Remains me of the ROCKY movie supposed to be a sure win. Ends up being to close to call so they complain about the interior to get the decision. The C6 has held it's own for some time the C7 has some big shoes to fill can't wait to see some real specs. Just saying
