Default What air pressure is correct Z51 2008 C6

Is the recommended 30psi frt and 30psi rear what you guys run? Did a search and did not see anything on tire air pressure. Dealer put 35psi in the fronts and 33psi in the rears. What do you guys recommend for good tire mileage and everyday driving?

Your drivers side door jamb should have the specs, I run mine at 31f/31r, anymore than that and it rides like a tank.

With OEM wheels and tires, 30 psi cold pressure. Cold meaning you haven't driven on the tires.

Remeber also, tire pressure is not a set it and forget it item. Tire pressure will vary based on air temperature. Tire pressure will change approximately 1 psi for every 10 degree change in temperature. If the temp goes down, pressure goes down. If the temp goes up, the pressure goes up accordingly. Tire pressure will also increase as the tires heat up while driving.

You should check and maintain your tire pressure to 30 psi cold as the outside air temperatures change.

I know what the door jam states. Just wanted to know if owners have had better results with other Psi? Thanks to everyone for the info. Since the temp varys only 6 degrees from summer to winter here on Maui I will move them all to 30 Psi. I did do a search before I asked this question and could not find any other info. New to the Vette so have patience with me.

Too much air will wear a ring right around the center of the tires. With stock size tires and wheels, run 30...as Paul said above.

Up at the volcano, the pressure will read higher, and the air will feel like it does here!...

I run 1 PSI higher in the fronts than the rear, and 0.5 PSI higher on the driver side than the passenger side. This creates the at-the-limit handling balance I'm most comfortable with, considering the ride height, suspension, alignment, and tires. It's also a compromise between dry and wet behavior, as my Corvette oversteers more in the wet, and presumably oversteers even more the slicker the surface. My left front tire pressure is 33.5 PSI.

Anyone of you running Nitrogen to avoid pressure swings associated with the temperature?

I keep 30 all around and recheck monthly. I also check after any service and find the "pros" almost always over inflate considerably.

I had nitrogen in my 09 vert, I did not add it, it was in it when i bought the car new. It did help as I am at 7000 ft and have big temp swings but i dont think i'd go out of my way to pay or add it. (I'm sure i paid for it when i bought the car, lol)
