I just say 'yes' and smile. The affirmative answer ends the conversation and the smile is from driving the car.

It's all relative - For some that's just a Tuesday Night . . . . . .

Got my first Vette at 42 (53 now) and same thing happened. But people who knew me, knew it was "Mike progressing up the car ladder" as I also had many past nice cars.

I still aspire to "more" and "nicer" cars

You're lucky, my neighbor really brings his car over and thinks "we" should wash it!

Ummm, don't take this wrong, but do you also live in your vette?

Just picked up my first Vette over 2 weeks ago and I'm age 51. My last sports car was a 1979 Mazda RX7. Since then I've went thru many other vehicles including trucks and Jeeps (CJ-7) and still enjoy riding high performance motorcycles. After 21 years I decided to get back into sporty cars and my first foray was into the 2010 Camaro which I really liked....but my ultimate goal was to "graduate" and reach the pinnacle of sports cars (at least in my mind)..........the CORVETTE!

Now I'm here and enjoying every second! I like the Mid life celebration thing! I also like the Mid life crisis, which to me was wanting one, wondering what it was like to own one, desiring one.......now I appear to be good! Also I want to enjoy this beast, rack up some miles and then who knows, when the C7 has gotten over it's teething problems, I may upgrade. For now thou, I'm at the top and loving it. I'm honored to be in the company of so many knowledgable, passionate fellow Vette owners.

Quick Reply: Mid-life crisis. Psh.
