Will I like Billy Boat Fusions if I am looking for a quiet exhaust???
I just bought a take off exhaust (whole system) from a chevy dealer. It has LG street headers with catted xpipe that are going on my car. It also came with a set of perfect condition B&B fusions which I am not sure what to do with. My original plan was to use the stock mufflers with the header system for a modest increase in sound. From what I can tell the B&B fusions seem pretty loud with headers, even with the valves closed. How loud are these with headers? If I only like the sound with the valves closed will I loose performance?
Thanks,
Thanks,

quiet? I thought the fusions were one of their louder ones and most bboats are loud to begin w. in my opinion.

You should listen to someone that has the Fuson installed. I have them on my '09 Coupe and love them. They sound great. I love having them on the loud setting for around town, and switch to the quiet mode when on the road at 60 mph. I have absolutely no drone in either case. I do get some drone when driving at 60 mph with the windows up and the mode on loud.
For me, this is the only setup I would ever want on a Corvette. The normal exaust is way too quiet. The BB Fusion makes it sound like a real sports car, which it is!

Its a nice looking system...
They look very nice and the tips are just awesome. But from the clips that I have heard, with headers, the sound is either loud or rediculously loud.
I want the power but not the sound. The system would probably be perfect with a factory manifold/cat car.

Like I said the system seems nice, it comes with remotes to open up the flaps. The idea seems cool...cars idling, hanging outside and with the press of a button the car sounds badass.

My car is stock from the engine to the mufflers. The BB Fusion is the only modification. I'm sure if you look around you will find someone with a similar car that would let you listen to their Fusion exhaust. They are very popular.

if no one on here has done the dyno, open and closed, I'd bet bboat has. or at least they should have in order to tell potential buyers, "you get X hp with it open, and it goes to Y hp with it closed." I don't think that's unreasonable to expect as far as an answer.

Different strokes for different folks.
Fusions were one of my first adjustments to improving my Vette. I wanted the muscle sound in addition to performance and looks. The stock exhaust, to me, was very wimpy sounding. The Fusions with a stock motor improved the sound noticeably with the valves open - but with them closed there was only a small difference over stock.
Had my motor built, and now I'm very happy with the symphony played through the B & B's. It's now what I think a Vette should sound like.
Since you have them, maybe throw them on and see if you like it - I'm betting you would. If not, post them on this forum and they'll sell in a day if a reasonable price is asked.
