dicks sporting goods they are a buck a piece! and instead of an eye bolt i made some with an elevator bolt that looks like a T and they screw in so tight you could leave them in place. you could not yank them off if you tried
i just got mine yesterday from e-bay. actually used one today to lift LF of car and it worked just as advertised. imo a must for jacking up a c6. great product.
Another member gave me a single rectangular BMW puck, and works great for swapping to track wheels. I actually punched out the locking guts, and just move it around, during the swap process.
You don't have to "like" them....pucks are a functional product used for a specific purpose. You put them in when needed and remove them when you're done. Pucks or pads may be necessary when raising the car on certain lifts (when the lift arms hit the rocker panels) but in many circumstances, like raising a corner or side of the car with a floor jack, the car can be raised safely without jacking pucks. I hardly ever take my car to the dealership but if I do, I always snap my rectangular BMW jacking pucks in-place beforehand (and I tell the dealership they're installed and what they're for).
