Interested in the Z140 w/ ipod cable. On one of my other vehicles I have a Lockpick which allows DVD and NAV in motion. Does this pioneer have something similar? The wife likes to watch movies on long road trips.

Yes, I understand the legal issues...

There is 4 different harness options currently for the C6
Metra GMOS04 is only option for 2010-12 with Onstar
2010-12 no onstar we can use the PAC C2RGM24

2005-09
C2RGM24= No Onstar and with or without Bose
OS2C= Onstar No Bose
OS2CBOSE= Onstar and Bose

We figure out what you need by the info provided during checkout. We just ask year of car and Onstar and Bose features

Pioneer we can simply move one wire(yellow with black strip labeled mute)
then take the yellow w/ black stripe, green parking wire and black ground all from the Pioneer and twist together then connect to black gorund in Pac or Metra harness

This gives you the bypass

I just sold my Z130BT and this is exactly what I had to do to get both to work and it does work as the bypass since there is no "black box" out for these newer units. I just might have to look into this deck and see what the differences are from the Z130.

big difference in NAV
Pioneer switched from Tele Atlas to NAVTEQ
Android streaming as well.
These are main differences

I'd be curious to hear what people have to say about the Z140 unit. Also, do you plan on carrying the new Alpine 8" unit that is coming out soon?

NO I am not going to offer Alpine.
I am not very impressed with Alpine as a double din

I would rate in order of preference
Kenwood
Pioneer
JVC
Clarion
Alpine
Dennis

I also asked in your Parts for Sale/Wanted thread:

I have an 09 coupe with the base radio and purchased the BT steering wheel controls. Is there an adapter that will allow the Z140 work with the BT steering wheel controls?

If not, will the BT controls work with the Kenwood DNX9990HD, with the harness that you mentioned which will be available in June?

replied there too

You will need the Pac SWI RC or Metra ASWC for the Z140 for SW controls
You will have limitations for the BT with the Z140 and 9990

The new harness from Kenwood will be coming soon. Not sure of when.

Just to be sure. The Kenwood harness would give me full BT functionality with the 9990?

Looks like a great deal! I did the 930BT from DDMods and I totally endorse them. The install was 40 minutes with only 1 splice needed! Super clean swap out of my stock C6 convertible nav system. Go for it!!!
