Default Pics of my newly shaved C6

Just got my car back from the body shop. Added an SIC Z06 front bumper, RPI side skirts, APR rear diffuser, and shaved the door handles and side markers. The body shop did a flawless job and the car came out great IMO. I had originally wanted to shave the Z06 scoop to avoid the double scoop look, but the body shop didn't think it would hold up so I kept it, and I think it is starting to grow on me. I'll get some better pics once the car is cleaned up. There is a "before" pic in my sig for reference

So, now that you have shaved the side marker lights, you car is now illegal to drive in all fifty states, plus nearly every foreign country. Interesting.

Get laid recently?

op - looks great! You pretty much have everything I want to do when I step up to wide body.

What are you doing to open the doors? What about in the event of loosing power?

You car looks slick. A nice clean look.

I am curious though. Are side markers not required in PA, or you are OK with it regardless.

Not trying to be a dick, I am just curious about it.

Thank you. Side markers are in fact required in PA, and as far as I know all U.S. states. I have driven vehicles with tinted or blacked out side markers for over a decade and have never had a single issue with LEO's. So going the next step and shaving them completely was a decision I was comfortable making. I have not blacked out my tail lights because I can see how it could become a potential safety hazard, though I certainly don't judge others who choose to do so.

I am going to disconnect the wires leading to the factory door openers and run them to some microswitches that will be mounted on the underside of the side view mirrors. It will be invisible from standing height and will be a very easy way to retain the factory locking and door opening system. I plan to do that tomorrow afternoon. For now, I have to leave the windows down.

In the event of loosing power, I'm stuck using the physical keyhole by the license plate to open the hatch and crawl through the car, but it's really no different than OEM functionality in that regard.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone.

I did the crawl through the car myself once....then everyone told me about the release cable in the back hatch area...Just don't want you to get flamed like me!

Oh yea forgot about the license plate backup...

I like the idea of the side view mirror, you could also mount it in the rear wheel well. The plastic linners are easy to remove and the wiring can pass through the side skirts

Crawl through the back? Do you no longer have the door release cable located in the rear hatch area?

Looks good to a point. The rear diffuser sticks out to far for my liking. I like the spoiler and the hood a lot but the rear looks like to much going on.

Here in California the non existent side markers would be a ticket for sure as well as the other 49 States and one would not be able to register the car next period with a outstanding fix it ticket pending. Just kinda of a hassle if the car was to get ticketed.

All these mentioned points are of now consequence though as it is your car, enjoy and don't twist your neck watching for the Leo's.

Resale would be more limited too.
