Default Do you wash your Vette at a car wash?

I own several conveyor car washes both full service and exterior. I wash my 2005 vert about once a week through our washes. Just curious if my fellow forum members use conveyor washes. I read all the time how much hand washing goes on, so time consuming! I have several customers with C4/C5/C6 Corvettes that love our service.

No offense, but I'd never run my car through a car wash.

How much clearance do you have for the conveyor track? Is this typical for other car washes?

I never bring any of my cars through car washes. Hand wash only. Touchless carwarshey normally suck and don't get the car very clean so even those are a no go for me.

My car sits too low to go through the car wash. I wash it in the driveway almost always and ocassionally pay to have it handwashed if I'm really in a hurry. But it cost $25 for a handwash.

Default Never!

I have owned 3 Vettes and I never take my vet's to a conveyor wash.I have had my rims scratched badly. I wash my car once a week at a wash your own car w/o a conveyor.May take a little longer, but at least my car isn't getting the rims damaged nor are the brushes scratching the paint. Rod

Blasphemy!

So I guess that means your car doesn't have 48 coats of Zaino, either?

edit - The funny thing is I stopped at a self-serve car wash on my way into work this morning...but I had my own Zaino bucket (with grit guard) full of my own car wash solution and virgin wool wash mitt. And this was just to wash my daily driver beater Pontiac G5!

3 inches. Our washes use microfiber on the equipment. Not touch less.

No sir! We also do complete detailing, I have them apply a paint sealant once a year.

Wow...Guess I'm the only one here who has taken it to a car wash. I go to one of those where you wash the car yourself with the high pressure wash gun. I do make sure not to get it too close the decals. It's no big deal....don't let the others fool you

The same microfiber that just washed a jeep fresh from off-roading with bits of cinders and pine sap slathered about . . . .
