Just an Fyi, when I did mine I really had to get the rear end way up in the air in order to remove the exhaust.
If you have ramps you could back it up then jack it up.

Appreciate it... Does the front of the x pipe need to come loose as well in order the drop the mufflers as well?

I believe I disconnected the xpipe completely as well.
Also I suggest you install some heat shield to the tunnel plate being that you'll have access to it.

Yes, the H-pipe (or X-pipe) needs to be loosened so that it can slide loose. Remove the H-pipe connector bolts and the H-pipe hangar bolts.
Drop/swing the rear sway bar down out of the way.
Remove the muffler hanger bolts.
You can do this all on jack stands with them placed at the locations you suggested. Below are some pictures when I did the process in my garage.
The ramps were just underneath for added security.
