My Corvette Going Through The Car Wash!
Here is my Corvette going through one of our car washes as promised! Enjoy. Please no bashing because I know most of my fellow forum members hand wash their Vettes. Just entertainment!

Another brave soul! I too have put my corvette through a car wash. It came out very clean without any problem. (I also hand wash mine from time to time. Some sources state that a good car wash is actually easier on the finish than a hand wash.)
Enjoy the car -- even if that includes hand washing.

I have always wanted to take mine also but was told its a NO-NO, and i see its a vert, were there any scratches or did the convertible have any leaks inside, being 48 and trying to bend and clean it, well i wish i could bring mine also, answer some questions please

Great looking convertible. Problem here is since the vette sits low nothing harldy makes any contact with the hood as opposed to a normal height vechicle or even a truck, so not that effective.
I enjoy washing myself but sometimes I like to take it somewhere to get it done.

The convertible top on my last car, a Nissan 350Z Roadster, eventually hardened and cracked. The local top shop told me that it was caused by automatic car wash residue (soap and wax). The extra wide tires on my current GS has forced me away from the automatic car wash habit. I found a local place which does hand washes.

No panels flying off, clean and polished looking all is good.

Cool video, made me smile when I saw it!
I used to live in the Minneapolis area and for 22 years of that time I drove Corvettes and drove all of them year around because a lot of those years the Vette was my only vehicle. During the winter time I always ran them through the car wash and did that about once a week and never had any problem with any damage and most were converts.
Not one of them melted from driving in the winter or putting them through a car wash.

Reminded me of a horror movie I once saw. Only thing missing was the knife going though the top. And, please tell me your source of this is good for your vette? I wonder how many Black Corvette owners would wash their Vettes like that?
BUT, Hey, it's your vette.....and you wash it any way you want.

No leaks, scratches or swirls.

I have a couple of friends that one of them has a black 7 Series BMW and the other has a black CLS63 AMG mercedes that cost considerably more than most Vettes. They only use car washes like in the video on their cars and I never have seen any swirls or scratching of any kind on their cars.

Dan, thanks for posting the video. I, for one, never doubted that you run your C6 through a carwash that you own. Of course you do!
If you didn't, it would be like a chef who refused to eat his own food. More power to you!
Nonetheless, I will continue hand washing. I enjoy it!
