My shop did it the same way, but all in the same visit. 2 weeks later is bs.

So guys, being the novice I am, are you saying you only tint the side and rear hatch windows, not the windshield? Seems to me most of the heat comes through the windshield, but the again I'm a novice.

That is correct. Sides and back, usually with the back darker than the sides, because the law allows it that way. And then you get used to parking in such a way as to minimize front window exposure. Oh, and I have never been concerned in the least with the tint law in any state but my home state.

I may just do the windshield and side windows since I'm cheap, and the hatch window already affords limited rearward visibility. Question: How did they treat the dot matrix on your windshield?
back up and read just above pic of rear window. Winshield is treated same way as rear for dot matrix. Thanks

Maryland Law only allows Tint to the AS1 line ( which is located on the upper corner of your windshield ) or 5 inches from top of the outside of windshield ( not inside ) which ever is less whether you have a tint waiver from your Dr or not. You can not do the whole windshield. Each State has different laws on window tint.

Please " NO COP BASHING PLEASE " I respect all State police and the job they do for us. I want to stay legal according to Maryland Laws with this car and color I know all State Police ( any State ) will take a second look as they pass or setting on the side of the road, but thanks for the suggestion on halo. What I like about Delaware tint law compared to Maryland is, in Delaware you fill out a application for tint waiver and it is put on record so if a officer pulls behind you and runs your tag it will come up on his screen that you have a tint waiver, in Maryland it does not, so they can pull you over and only then you show the officer your tint waiver.

Looks great! Definitely improved the look of your car. Not that it looked bad before; the tint just makes it look a lot better.

I had the most heat reducing tint installed in mine because of the high desert's radiant heat. 3-M's "Black Chrome" cut interior heating by 57% while retaining excellent visability.

Sorry if you misunderstood me. I did not say you were Cop Bashing. I meant with my reply back to you about the laws and being stopped that there might be some and I do not want to go there. Yes I do know what you are talking about the top and halo I was actually thinking of doing them in carbon fiber which would make the whole top of car black but I am not sure I want to do that, and not that it was illegal. Thanks hope I cleared that up.
