Default New Window Tint on my New Inferno Orange

Before:

After: 5% back 18% sides. I know maryland law is 35% max but I have a Tint Waiver so I can darken them to any %

If you look carefully you will notice that the top of the back window is not complete they will do that part in vinyl in 2 weeks after bottom dries. They have to do that part in vinyl because of the dot matrix ( little dots on top of rear window ), tint will leave bubbles. you will not be able to see the line either. Once the top of the back hatch is complete it will darken the side windows a little more due to all the light coming in the back right now

Top of Winshield also:

Tinting is a great idea...in this part of the country it is standard fare.

It's a letter from my eye Dr ( opthamologist ) saying I need darker tint then the Maryland law allows due to my eyes sensativity to light. The only way Maryland will allow tint darker then the law of 35%.

Looks great!

Although many shops use vinyl on top, there are some shops which can do the back window completely in tint. Takes a really good installer, and a bit more work. Nothing wrong with vinyl, just thought everyone should know.

What a timely post! Mines a coupe with the optional tinted transparent top, and since moving south from New England I feel I need tinted windows to deal with sun heat. I never thought tinted windows were an appearance enhancement, but after seeing your pictures I'm convinced they are. I may just do the windshield and side windows since I'm cheap, and the hatch window already affords limited rearward visibility. Question: How did they treat the dot matrix on your windshield?

I live in the desert and have had tinting done on all three of the Corvettes I have owned. NEVER was a windshield ever done. Sides and rear hatch with the rear hatch done "limo tint". No problems with the defroster wires in the rear. Good installers just know what they are doing.

I think it will look crazy bad if you don't tint the back. Just my two cents.

OP...your vette looks good without and awesome with tint

I agree. And to address a previously expressed concern, I have never had an issue with the side windows going up and down causing any problem. Again, good installers just know what they are doing.
