my 07 does not have the USB option...to the OP, I have made countless CDs at home using both Nero and Windows Media Player, never paid attention the length of the file names and have never had any problems. I have put over 100 mp3s on one disk.
Does your 07 have nav? My 08 with a six disc changer would play any MP3 disc. However, it was tricky to burn an MP3 disc for my 10 with the single disc player in the nav system. I used Media Monkey and the tips here to burn six discs that worked perfectly.
