The instructions say:
"The control should be set to “OFF” prior to shutting the car down. This will
minimize battery drain. In the “OFF” position 4+ months is not an issue or if you use a
battery maintainer it’s not an issue."
So is "OFF" that the instructions says really flaps closed and activated by pushing the "ON" green button? (The instructions imply that "OFF" is flaps open).
Bottom line is it flaps open or closed that causes the battery drain? (And if closed then why doesn't the battery drain when the factory fuse is installed as it is from the factory?)

installed mine 2 days after I picked her up at the museum. have it in the 'wild' position at all times. still on original battery, and car 'occasionally' sits up to 3 weeks in the garage, as was the case recently when I took a trip to Texas (never used a tender). 52 months and going strong.

I put the Sunset Orange dash controller on my coupe. Works great but I never use it. It's just too loud. I've thought about limiting it in both directions but ultimately I just don't use it.

M2W was the first mod to my 09 C6 1LT. Easy install, no problems in 3.5 years.
Regrets? None. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
But IMO the full-open "wild" gets a bit tiresome for most around-town driving. And the closed "mild" is too quiet for me.
Fortunately there's a middle ground... I installed collars that keep the valves slightly open. Easily adjustable, so my "mild" setting is now exactly as loud as I like.

I forget which one but a Forum Vendor was offering the collars and Allen wrench as a kit.
Or .. they can be bought from websites like McMaster-Carr, but the Forum Vendors had the kit for less $

I installed the Sunset Orange version. I have no battery drain issues. The remote garage door opener button on my sun visor controls the exhaust. Best investment for listening to the music I like to hear. And when I want quiet just push the button. Love it! Took all of 5 minutes to install.

Go ahead and buy the Mild to Wild setup....you will love it...like some of the others said, it should have come as a factory option. My dealer showed me how to pull the fuse to leave them open all the time but sometimes you just don't want to hear the drone....with the switch you have the best of both worlds...

Drained battery
My friend and I both purchased 2011 Grand Sport verts last June, and I installed the M2W on both cars. I have my M2W on all the time, and I drive the car almost daily with no problems. My friend drives his only once every 7 to 10 days. Last week his battery was dead, and he had the car transported to the local Chevy dealer. They kept it two days with the conclusion that the battery was drained down by the M2W, so he had them take it off. I'm waiting to see if he has any further battery problems.

I have the M2W on my 13 GS convertible and I love it. With the top down I leave the flaps open. If we are on a long interstate drive with the top up I set it back to normal. No battery drain issues. I think that's because I don't let the car sit long enough for the battery to drain. We bought the car new in January of 2014 and since the end of winter we have put almost 11,000 miles on it and we are not done for the driving season yet.

First vendor to offer M2W (invented it?). But I'm not sure they're still a forum vendor. So this post might get edited.

Best mod ever.... This is where I keep the remote
It is nice to be able to click it ON or OFF on the fly. BTW, I used the current drain option so OFF is Closed and ON is Open. There is ONLY current drain is you happen to park the car for an extended period of time with the clicker ON. I have had it for over a year with no issues.
The only hard part is tapping the C5 fuse. My solution was to use a fuze tap from PEP Boys and it made it super easy. The Fuse Tap is stocked by PEP Boy’s Auto (PN FHA200ZP) for $6.99 with several fuse sizes for the tapped line. I used the larger size.

Had the M2W on my 09 and also on my 13. After about one year it quit working on the 13. Fresh batteries in both remotes didn't help anything.
Contacted the maker and he sent me a new unit for no cost. Telling you this so you know they stand behind what they make. The new unit works like a charm. I wouldn't own a Corvette without it.

1. Remove 10 amp fuse and place in empty slot.
2. Plug in Mild to Wild fuse unit where 10 amp fuse was removed.
3. Attach ground wire to screw according to directions.
4. Tuck control box and wires neatly out of the way and transmittal wire as directed.
5. Test with one of two provided FOBs.
6. Done...enjoy!
Works great!
