Thanks for the replies...I have the instructions for the no drain hook up but not sure if I want to go that route. I will probably get the dead pedal foot switch instead.
Just an update...first I replaced the battery that was over 3 years old with a new Duralast. After further thought and seeing that I had already spent money on the MTW gadget, I decided to try the "no drain" installation. It made sense that the Seat Heater circuit was off when the car was off. It works great just like before and my mind rests a little easier not thinking about power drain. Thanks again to everyone for your input.
You can purchase the adjustable collar from www.nakidparts.com for about 25 bucks. I hope to soon post pics of a contraption I'm fabricating that will allow a full range of adjustment without tools.
Rather than doing the 'collar' thing, I installed clips (speed nuts) over the butterflies which prevents them from closing all the way. The clips hold them open approx 1/8". 'Mild' now has a little more hummmm..... but not noticeable on the highway. I also have the M to W dead pedal switch which is much more user friendly than the fob. Absolutely love this setup.
IMO, this is the best set-up, hands down. Low cost, super easy install. You can install the clips in 2 min with a needle nose pliers and adjust them for the amount of opening you want. The foot pedal MTW has the best functionality of all the options.
I've got the "old school" M2W foot pedal. Just tap my foot for on and off. No fob to misplace. Also have the collars on the valve rods so even in closed mode it's still open a little.

There was one already installed on my 08 when I bought it. Took a couple of weeks to find out the salesman had the remote in his desk. I leave it open except if I'm leaving the neighborhood very early in the morning or on a long interstate run. Love it!
I purchased a mild to wild kit from Eckler's it lasted about a year and a month. When I called Eckler's they told me the warranty was up. I checked vacuum and I checked power. Fuses are good and the engine is producing enough vacuum. I have a controller which houses the solenoid and computer chip. Can anyone give me an idea mind isn't working by remote any more. The remote batteries are good.
I have a 2012 corvette with NPP exhaust long tubes and x pipe. Is there a way to change the set point on the factory NPP exhaust valves to not open. I installed a manual switch in foot rest pad to open and close NPP valves and it works great but exhaust valves still opens when engine gets to 3500 rpm. I would like for this to stay closed and only open when I push the manual switch installed. Any help is appreciated

I'm wondering why you would want it to stay closed past 3500 rpm. It's not like you cruise down the highway at that RPM. I've never heard of a way to do it
I'm another fan of adding the speed nuts to the edge of the butterfly. Super quick, super easy. The collar's seem too tedious and its a tight fit back there. My M2W starts up closed which is how I run it 75% of the time. The slightly open butterflies, due to the speed nuts, is just the right sound for my ears. The only thing I am not crazy about is figuring out where to keep the FOB. I don't want to put it in the center compartment in case I want to switch while driving. I have it in the cup holder for now. Maybe Ill mount it on the console like the post above. Would love to have the foot switch on the dead pedal but it seems like a lot of work to install it that way. If anyone has a "how to" I would like to see it.
Montman, Only reason is the wife drives it a lot and she said it startles her when she's passing on the freeway and asked if the set point could be raised or just use the switch to keep it closed all the time. I love it and leave it open all the time when I drive it..

Dead pedal switch is super easy to install. Remove dead pedal, drill 1/2" hole, install switch, run wire over to passenger footwell area, hook it up and all done. Seriously like a 20 minute job tops. Hardest part is running wire from driver side to passnger side.
