sound/heat insulation
Anyone insulated a C5 and a C6? I did my 1999 and now just bought a 2008. Looking for tips and a good expert source on the Forum for the project.

Several very good threads on this.
I just finished mine. I'll have some photos later today.
A few caution areas.
Be SURE to leave about a 3" x 4" area around each of the FRONT seat bolts with no (or very thin) insulation. The reason for this is that I left a much smaller area open around the bolts and this made it VERY hard to get the plastic covers back on, that cover the bolts in the front seats.
Also be careful about how much insulation around where the center console pieces attach, as this can make the re-installation of these parts difficult or not fit right.
Same thing for the door panels. Make note of how the door panel attaches, You will not want the insulation to cover the area around the very outside where the door pins are as the door panel won't go back on quite right.
My project definitely helped out with the heat and sound. The car feels more solid now. Tire and road noise was definitely reduced.
I was a time consuming project for me and I got really sore from doing it. Lots of aches and scratches.
Here is a very good thread with photos.

Here is the step-by-step post I did with plenty of photos and precise details ... <CLICK HERE>
Bill has a great thread. I used it a lot to help me with my install.

Here are some quick pics, I only did rear seats and back. Car sounds more solid, and is quieter. However, I have to admit, would not get rid of the drone on my Borla Stingers (ended up trading out for Corsa):

Nice pics. I did the underside of the inner fender walls with Raamatt. Made a huge difference with cutting down vibration.
