Geez ... we're almost down to "who's d***" is bigger.
Claiming the A6 being faster means virtually nothing, b/c you may just end up seeing the rear end of of a supercharged M6. The majority of us drive a Corvette b/c it's FUN ... and if you get your fun driving an A6, thats's cool
When I decided to get another Vette last year (1st since 1981 - kid's college over ) I had a list of options I wanted and I would have taken a automatic or a manual. The best value was an M6 and I have had plenty of fun since

I agree fun is what you make of it. Some have fun rowing through the gears. Others have fun with the paddles or just sitting back and letting her fly. To come on the forum and claim what another man or woman should have for their own fun is beyond absurd.

In my area all I see for sale, used or new, are A6. One dealer I know well said we only have automatics because that is what sells. But all I see in used vetts are the auto, which tells me 2 things. One is used automatics vette customers not happy with A6. Second, no M6 for sales means customers very happy with manuals. I will continue my search.

Well, IMO, think twice about the M6. Yeah, it fun on the highway and in the mountains, but a real PITA around town in stop and go traffic. And not worth a damn in a parade--- clutch in, clutch out, ad infinitum just to keep from running down the marching band. My next vette will be an automatic for sure.

The first thing people invariably ask me when they see my Vette for the first time, "Is it a stick?" Automatics out number manuals. But, IMHO, the perception of the general public is that the "hot" set up in the Vette is a manual. So, a used manual is worth more than a used automatic everything else being somewhat equal.

It sounds as if he was making a statement about his preferences including driving in traffic, mountains and a parade. The combination of things was what he posting about. To single out one is unfair.

They may rule in a Top Fuel, but not ProStock or for week-end warriors hitting the strip. I can power shift faster than any auto and I don't have power brake for launches.
Sticks are more fun,I like going thru the gears.

I'm more interested to know more about the OP's driving habits and how many miles he has driven with the A6 before he posted his displeasure.

If you have never driven a C6 Vette with a stall converter?...................Please do so, becasue it is highly likely that your buyers remorse will quickly fade. It is as if you achieve a perfect clutch release everytime @ a higher rpm.
