I have absolutely no idea what those figures are auto? manual? Anyway no matter you must be absolutely right, the auto is much more valuable than the lousy manual. I simply don't understand whay anyone would waste such cash on a manual.

Link was provided. I have a manual and like it. Not a waste at all. Chevy does charge more for the automatic though.

Yeah...we all know. It cost more new and only new regardless of what you think. It's been the exact same for years.

Often costs more used. Once again autos greatly out number manuals in the base and GS cars (I'm sure some member has the numbers). In some areas new and used manuals are hard to find and has been discussed right here on this forum.

I provided a link. But it is closer in price then I thought. Again I'm sure someone will provide the numbers of base & GS auto manual %.

That link shows the manual $250 more than the auto which is exactly what I stated.

Because of the differential between the amount of A6's made over the M6's. Which is what I stated when I said I was surprised. The amount of A6's produced to M6's is around 2 to 1 with the base & GS.

Default Yhis is an observation, not to start a fight

Picked up a 2010 vert this morning and drove it 355 miles home.
Traded in my 08 vert. This is my 5th C6 (05 A4, 07 A6, 08 A6 coupe, 08 A6 vert) Wanted to try a M6 for a while. I love this car! I liked my others, but I love this one. However, I use these cars as a weekender. I don't use them to commute. I understand some people don't like autos and some don't like manuals. But, from my personal experience after today, for a weekender, try out the M6. It makes it a totally different ride.

Let me know how that SC works out for you. I have an 08 base A6 with basic mods. I see you are in FW as Im in S Arl. I commute to Dallas everday by the Galleria but only drive my A6 on Fri/sat. Its a huge pain especially on 635...thats the main reason why I didnt get a M6. The morning drive. Anyways did you hav to beef up your auto tranny? I would think you would if you SC it. I am thinking about going to either the new c7 or a z06 in a year or so...this time it will be a manual but in the meantime Im keeping my A6 so Im very interested in seeing how the stock auto tranny handles substantial HP & TQ gains.
