Link was provided. I have a manual and like it. Not a waste at all. Chevy does charge more for the automatic though.

Often costs more used. Once again autos greatly out number manuals in the base and GS cars (I'm sure some member has the numbers). In some areas new and used manuals are hard to find and has been discussed right here on this forum.

Because of the differential between the amount of A6's made over the M6's. Which is what I stated when I said I was surprised. The amount of A6's produced to M6's is around 2 to 1 with the base & GS.

Yhis is an observation, not to start a fight
Picked up a 2010 vert this morning and drove it 355 miles home.
Traded in my 08 vert. This is my 5th C6 (05 A4, 07 A6, 08 A6 coupe, 08 A6 vert) Wanted to try a M6 for a while. I love this car! I liked my others, but I love this one. However, I use these cars as a weekender. I don't use them to commute. I understand some people don't like autos and some don't like manuals. But, from my personal experience after today, for a weekender, try out the M6. It makes it a totally different ride.

My philosophy is that if you have an M6 and like it - shut up and enjoy it. If you have an A6 and like it - shut up and enjoy it too. They're both Corvettes so there is no right or wrong answer. What's best for some may not be best for others. Just get in your car, drive it and enjoy life. GM offers two options for a reason.

I just decided to supercharge my Auto GS instead of going up to a Z06 or ZR1. While I love a stick, I just can't see myself driving it as much as I do in stop and go traffic. I commute a few times a week to Dallas. No way would I ever entertain a manual around here for a DD.
