Default New Hoody

got this grand sport hood blanket used on ebay for a
$100 shipped.nothing wrong with it.had to buy the light kit as the 2012 hood blanket has no light or spot for it.i had to rivit the light to the hood.the kit came with the rivits and instructions.the holes were already drilled in the hood as were the holes for the wiring clips.funny how all the hardware was there but no light.all the gm replacement hood blankets have the spot for the light, which only came in 05-07 i think.well to be honest and i think the gm engineers figured that no one works on their corvette in the dark.what could you possibally fix in the dark with the hood light, nothing.maybe good for checking the oil.you would have thought that gm would put this hood blanket on stock, instead of a gm aftermarket part for $289. that would have been nice considering 70K for the car.

it does work.when you leave the hood up for over 10 minutes it shuts off so the battery will not die.
