And the Ferrari and Lamborghini owners are giving each other a hard time saying, " Like your Ferrari (or Lamborghini) is a Veyron".

Will it eventually hurt my paint or something? It is my toy car, not a DD.
OMG Don't and I repeat never drive in the rain. Corvettes have known to melt when they get wet.
I live in Oregon and if I waited for a dry day i may never get to drive it.

OMG are you crazy, Would you waterboard your MOTHER ! Would you throw your cat in the RIVER ! Do you clean your bedroom with a garden hose! OMG. Park your Corvette out of the garage and in the driveway for a day and look at all the ash and dust that settles on it. Now you just Imagine All that dirt the rain be washing out of the sky and pounding it down from 30,000 feet like a ton of bricks. I hope your Cathalic, you need to go to confession and ask a higher power. I just couldn t bring MYSELF to forgive ya ! Drive a Vette in the rain, Lord have mercy !

I got caught in the rain in LA and was panicking trying to find an overpass to park under. I finally found one and waited out the storm for a few hours. Whew! It could have been a catastrophe.

Seriously, Vettes are light and with wide tires in a HEAVY downpour they can swop ends in a second. Just slow down.

I would seriously reconsider driving it in the rain. Paint on the vette is no match for rain.

All I can do is shake my head at the stupidity in this thread. Nothing will happen to it. You bought it so drive it and enjoy it. Don't let it rot away in the garage just to say its clean and has 50 miles on it.

Run in the rain only if you have the covered melting extended warrany. Check with your dealer.

Hopefully not while you are trying to activate the wipers.

A lot of motorcyclist avoid the rain for the obvious reasons, such as the bike wanting to be on top in rain (bike on top is bad in case you were wondering). Also, even though the seat is leather, the rain can soak through it. Add to it that a rain drop feels like a ball bearing when it hits your face at 70 mph, and best leave the Harley in the garage on a rainy day.

The 'vette has a windscreen and wipers, so may as well drive it.

Holy cripes!! I would never think to drive my sugar baby in the rain!! If you drove yours in the rain, you had better look underneath and check it out. The water probably washed a lot of the sugary coat off of the bottom. Shame on you!!. Leave it in the garage next time!!

I hate detailing my Vette so if I can avoid driving it in the rain and avoid the glorious task of cleaning it up I will drive my SUV.

If you drive in the rain, it will melt.

I got caught last Saturday in a cloud burst, could hardly see. I even used the high position on the wipers. Looked like about 1 1/2 inches of water on the road. I have GY OEM tires and they performed real good, from what I read here on the forum I was surprised. I have never seen a tire performance problem in various weather conditions, if the car is driven accordingly.
