Painted fuel rail
Since my car is at the body shop already I'm thinking about having them paint the fuel rail covers since they have to paint all the new parts (bumper, fenders, quarters) I saw a picture of a forum member's car under the section about CAI...really beautiful blue with matching fuel rail covers. This would be less expensive then buying new covers, especially since its under the insurance claim. I thought about getting the covers from autodynamicswest.com with the skulls, but that is a couple of hundred dollars I can save. What do you guys think?

Cool, I'll let them know on Monday so they can prep everything. They should just about be finished with the front bumper, the quarters are installed and the fenders are sanded and fabricated so the fuel rail covers shouldn't take them too long to sand. I think that color splash would be great. I thought about carbon fiber fuel rails, but I think the victory red will look better. Then eventually do carbon fiber on the maybe a couple of other pieces in the engine bay, but the pic above looks great. What sort of caps are those? They actually have pics on them.

Oh I meant the pic I posted. Just saw your pic Tom_Slick, beautiful! Now I might have them do all of the pieces, again it would save me some money and they can get started on painting that while the other guy finishes fabricating. Or I could always do that later in the summer when I will be out of town for a few days. But I'd rather have them do it now and put it on the same bill.

So which do you guys prefer: just the solid color that matches the exterior (in my case victory red), having that color with skulls on it like from autodynamicswest.com, or carbon fiber?

VERY Nice! Hope you don't mind my asking, where did you get the intake manifold cover(s)? I already have the painted Torch Red FRCs, and would consider the a cover for the intake, just not sure what color to go with......

Nice pics. didn't get any answers to the question above so asking again out of curiosity. Do you guys prefer the same color on the rails as your body paint color or would something like airbrushed skulls be cool? Just getting opinions before spending the cash.
