Anyone have memory seats forget?
My memory seats will not remember any new settings any longer. It defaults to some setting from about 2 months ago.
Any thoughts on an easy fix?

Should I be able to prog both seat settings with one FOB?

I would try programming using the other fob....just to see if it will work (if it is a button issue, it won't). You might also try programming the #2 setting (door button) to your liking to see if that works. It will help narrow down the root cause a bit.

Interesting. Yes, you can program any memory position with either fob. So if I'm reading correctly, the car will recall a previous memory setting, you just can't enter anything new. Is that correct?

Good idea I will try other FOB.
I have tried the other # 2 setting to no avail. The puter is very confused.

Mine very seldom remembers any more how close I like the seat to the steering wheel, although it still keeps the mirrors where I want them. I just reset it. It apparently has lapses of memory because sometimes it remembers everything. Annoying? yes; a big deal? no.
I always use the same fob; I just transfer it from one pants pocket to the pocket of the next pair of pants I wear.
For the record, the fobs have new batteries and there's nothing wrong with the car battery.

My 2008 3LT coupe has "forgotten" the seat positions a couple of times. Moving the seat a tad fore or aft with the control **** seems to bring back its memory. The next time I'm fishing around under the seat for something, I'll try and remember to check the harnesses & connectors......
Enjoy,

P.S. - It has never been a problem on my 2009 4LT vert.

I don't know if it's at all related to the OP's problem but I just had my car in the shop for a seat memory problem. I could program in a setting but the car might and might not put things back from one exit to the next entry. It seemed to get the steering wheel correct (I like it all the way towards me.) but the seat might or might not (usually not) move at all. Then it might run the seat as far forward as possible the next time - running my knees into the dash. What I believe they did was to replace some module. It's been working fine ever since. I had read on here that it could be a motor not remembering where it was located.
Good luck!

To be honest with you, I don't care that much for the memory deal. It all depends on how my arthritic knees feel as to the way I set it. One day they might be stiff and aching and the next I might want them in a different position because the feel more comfortable. So, I have to change it all of the time anyway.........

I have a 2012 GS that oftentimes "forgets" what the seat settings are. Pressing button #1 results in the nothing happening to the driver's seat. It is also currently set to move back when the engine is off and the driver's door is opened. But sometimes it forgets to do this. Since I am the only driver, the other adjustments (mirrors, steering wheel) are ok. I have been thinking that the car is possessed but suspect it may be just some faulty electronics. I cannot be sure, but the seat memory feature may fail on extremely HOT days here in New England. Just a guess since electronics do not like heat. Will bring into dealer and hope for the best.

I had this problem recently too. But I managed to get it to fix finally. What I did was that I had to set a completely new driving and exit position. I moved it all the way forward and changed the seat bottom angle too. Then set the same awkward position as the exit position. Turned off the vette, opened and closed the door, started vette again, set my preferred drive in position, and then exit position. Turned it off, got out and checked to see if it worked. WooHoo! It actually did. I think the key was resetting both driving and exit positions.

My seat doesn't always remember, but I'm an old guy driving a Vette and I can't remember jack either, so I can't recall how I had set the seat memory!
Actually, mine does cramp up now and again, seems two go to fob 2 setting for wife and just about crushes me, seat full forward, back straight, bottom level. We make sure she leaves her fob home and it still does it.

I don't have a problem with the seat memory for driving just that many times the seat does not move back on exit. Sometimes it does and other times it doesn't.
I'll have to bring it to the dealer one of these days. Too busy driving it now.
