Non-NPP Exhaust: How to make it louder
First time poster here.
I've recently purchased a '09 base coupe with a non-npp exhaust. Is there any way to make the exhaust louder without having to replace the OEM exhaust itself? I've been looking, and to replace the exhaust with a NPP system, it's going to run about $1k. Please advise. Thanks!

Nothing that I have seen or heard of. You should be able to replace the stock mufflers with some NPP take-offs for less than a grand. There are a couple of places that sell solutions for providing the vacuum to control the flaps. You can also use Z06 take-offs but you will have to get a reducer to mate the 3" Z06 mufflers to the standard 2.5" pipes.
