where do I get the carbon fiber console bezel? what is the part number?

If to want a gm product speak to kevin at parts taxi. I believe his prices are always best. Or you can get one that was refinished in hydro carbon in which case I would contact empire corvettes who I believe has a new name of performance corvettes. Or contact TKO for hydrocarbon as well.

Hydrocarbon is basically a wet graphic overlay process that is applied to the molded plastic bezel to give it an appearance of carbon fiber. As opposed to Carbon fiber which is a material constructed of fibers of carbon formed in to sheets and molded with a reinforcing agent such as a polymer, most often an epoxy. All of the OEM components are a form of hydrocarbon in that it is a decorative treatment applied to the surface of a molded plastic part. There are a few companies out there that make actual carbon fiber components to fit various places on the Corvette.

I am looking for one as well but I don't want to spend a fortune on just a radio bezel. Is the product from parts taxi the same as the one from tko?

There was a sick deal a few months back for $300 hydrocarbon console. The price now, though, is likely $600 +

The one from parts taxi is original equipment direct from gm. The one from tko or any other hydro vendor is also gm part just refinished in hydro carbon. The part is the SAME.... The only difference is that Kevin's come from the factory pre painted and the ones from tko are painted after the part is taken out of another or (doner) vehicle which is why you can either send them yours to get refinished or send your original back to them after you recieve your new item.... Either one you decide to go with goes through the same hydro carbon process...

Nope, at least I don't think so. We are selling the OEM GM part, I think that TKO is selling an earlier model console that they have wrapped in carbon fiber. They do great work too. TKO, if I'm wrong, by all means correct me.

We start with genuine GM parts and then apply a finish to it using the same process GM uses ( for the 2008-2012 centerl consoles).

Here is a 2006 center console we did where we applied a GM 2010-2012 4 LT finish to it. (We also applied accent stainless trim rings too)
