Never ceases to amaze me how quickly things get fixed at dealer once the issue goes "live on the forum."

We bought our 2009 new off the lot from Hendricks in Cary, NC because it was the end of the model year and our local dealer couldn't get what we wanted. We did all the negotions over the phone and by email with their internet sales guy in Cary (wish I could remember his name), everything was straight forward, they picked me up at the airport, had two absolutely identical cars on the lot; allowed me to test drive both of them twice and pick the one I wanted. Up to that point, it was perfect.
Then I had to do the paperwork with their fianance guy, not much to do since I was paying in full with a cashiers check they had verified. The finance guy was an absolute jerk, came from India and I could barely understand him and got really annoyed at what I did understand. Lots of high pressure stuff to buy extended warranty, paint protection, etc.
When I finally got away from him, the service department had to remove a few dealer-installed options which we had agreed I was not buying. It took them quite a while and after getting the car home to Illinois, I discovered they had simply left out a few screws after the removal process. Tires were underinflated, nav discs were missing, etc. I got it all resolved but they would have to offer an amazingly low price before I would ever walk through their door again.

I found a car I really liked at BuyaVette, but Hendricks also had one I wanted to see. Their web site said the car was at the Gwinnett Place location and so did a salesman when I called. I drove to Hendricks and found out the car I wanted to see was in Kansas City. They tried to switch me to another car that was the wrong colour and had the wrong equipment. I went back to BuyaVette and wrote a check for the first one and couldn't be happier. These are nice people to deal with.

Seriously, I wander around on their lot on an occasional Sunday just to see what rip offs they have dreamed up to put on that supplimental price tag...

"In honor of jpee"
Between the $400 "document fee" and the fact that every car on the lot magically has $100 nitrogen in the tires and some equally expensive paint slime applied, they are just great, lol.

We all want to pay as little possible for any car but we must remember too that dealers have to keep the lights on. Yes, they do in fact dream up whatever ways they can make a profit and they will sell a car for the maximum price they can get anyone to pay for it, all in the name of profit. Truly though, if they sold every car at their cost or below, they would be out of business in a hurry. I'm not a dealer, nor associated with any dealer, rather I just believe in paying a fair price for the car that allows my wallet to not get flushed down the toilet and for the dealer to make a "reasonable" profit on the sale. "Reasonable" is not making all of their daily profit off me.

sorry to hear that , there is value is doing and honoring what you post. There are so many ways to promote this car, it is important to be clear is all.....having true passion and enthusiasm goes a long way. Corvette is the ONLY reason I am in the car business.
