Default At what age did you buy your first Corvette (MERGED)

This thread ran for several months under C4 general heading but I got to thinking a lot of you haven't seen it, so tell us at what age you acquirred your first, what model it was and if you don't mind how much it cost and how you paid for it. There was over five thousand people viewed it and several hundred posted with most emailing their post through me which I try to respond to each one.

I can just imagine the excitement you are feeling only four days away from getting your first Corvette, congratulations.
Go on line and order a free catalogue from two or three sources, you don't have to have a turbo charger installed first thing, unless you have an extra $6 to $8,000.00 laying around but there are lots of things you can add to your CORVETTE to personalize it.

Three months shy of my 49th birthday. My goal was to have a Corvette before I turned 50. Just snuck in under the wire.

I'm 27 and I've had my '05 Z51 for a little over a year. I grew up in a "car family" and wanted a vette since I was little.

I was 45, that was three years ago. It was a 2005 magnetic red 3lt coupe with 9k miles on it. I gave the dealer 25k cash and my 16ft Lund fishing boat that was worth around 8k.

My very first car was a 69 Vette, 350-350 4 spd. coupe. I was sixteen and the year was 1972. My Mom had to drive it to and from the paint shop because I didn't have my liscense yet. I bought it with money from selling my dirt bike and my father co-signed a loan to make up the difference.I paid $3400.00 for it. I just bought my most recent Corvette a Cyber Gray 2011 Grandsport. I can't imagine not having a Corvette in my garage. Bob

Nearly 58 when I just got mine. Been a dream of mine for nearly 37 years. Kicked myself all the way home from Bowling Green on why didn't I pull the trigger and buy one of these decades ago, and just loving every minute of it today. Won't be without one from now on.

At 46, bought a 2012 CGM GS for $52k...cash and trade in for about half and financed the rest at 1.9% for 60 months.....only way I could get what I wanted.
