Default South to Bowling Green and Back...with pics!!!

...What a ride!!! All I can say is WOW!!! My NCM experience was awesome. As everyone has said before, they truly treat you like royalty. We had been to the museum before so we did the abbreviated tour. The level of excitement was palpable, but Lance was very gracious and just hit the high points on the tour. My Sons were a little bored, but that's to be expected. My oldest Son kept asking if he could drive it. I finally had to tell him that he could AFTER it had been broken in...date TBD.
The drive/ride out was cool...everyone clapping and hollering. Once outside it got interesting. It was raining a little, but I was ok with it. We headed North for Wisconsin and I got used to driving a 6 spd again. I hadn't driven one since I sold my 2006 GTO in 2010. It came back pretty quick. The first third of the drive back was sucky with the rain. The bottom dropped out when we go to Loiusville, so I was just doing my best to keep moving ahead safely. The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful, at least as far as weather. My oldest Son, 20, rode the first half of the trip. We stopped in Indy and got a bite to eat and my youngest Son, 15 did the rest of the ride.
Once we got to dry pavement the drive was ALOT more fun!!! Nothing too radical, just varying RPMs to properly acclimate the engine to the subtle nuances of my varied driving styles.
Got home just before sunset and gave my new Corvette the once over to see if there were any chips or scratches...none that I could see. I did take painters tape just in case. There was a few close calls with some road gators but no incidents.
Got up this morning...EARLY... and washed her up real good and took my lovely Wife out for a ride/drive and let her get used to the 6 spd as well. Damn she has a lead foot.
One thing I forgot to mention. Lance recommended taking out the 10 amp fuse for the NPP. It was cool at first but the drone started to wear on me after awhile. I put it back in today, but took it right back out later. It's cool to have it out just running around town, but it will definitely be in for road trips. I'll revisit getting the M2W switch.
Well, that's pretty much it. Let me know if you have any questions. And yes, I did wave... The following pics are submitted for your perusal.

Default 6/18er

Congratulations, I remember all our posts waiting for this day. When you are ready let the mods begin. Actually my only additions were mats, Cleartastic Paint Protection (Really does work) it is available from one of our forum vendors TKO Performance, body colored spoiler and door handles from GM PartsHouse. Whatever you do enjoy it. Again Congrats

Looks fantastic and glad the trip home went well. I installed the M2W and absolutely love being able to turn it off when I want to enjoy the deep rumble and then turn the NPP back on when my wife is tired of the drone at higher speeds.

Wife, son and son-in-law have driven it (with me in passenger seat), daughter is still hesitant but will eventually.

Well done.

Like the silver painted wheels. Less bling is better. I know GM sells a lot of them on Corvette, but I can't remember last time I saw a Porsche / Aston / Ferrari / AMG Benz with chrome wheels.
