Default Museum Delivery Experience...8/14

My wife and I took museum delivery of our 427 'vert on Tues 8/14. The museum experience was exellent. The cordiality and thorough follow up from Lori was oulstanding Ron, our tour coordinator was highly informative, with a warm sense of humor. His knowledge of the manufacturing process was informitive and clearly a learning experience.
I cannot begin to say any more positve comments except for if you can do a museum delivery do it for it is truly a memorable life event.

FYI...Strongly recommend you not STAY at the Baymont Hotel in BG. The first impression was that it had an old motel smell to it and then it got worse. Carpeting was soiled, as well as, the sitting furniture. Bathroom had mold, towels and wash cloths were dark gray and stained, bed sheets were torn, all in all a horrible place to stay. Needless to say we moved to the Marriott Courtyard which was excellent. Cleanliness, amenities and service was outstanding. A 10 min ride to the museum. They have a bar..

We had dinner at Smokey Bones and Montana Rest. Both were very good.

For those who are thinking about going to BG with a one way rental car both Budget and Avis will do one way with drop off in BG about 15 min from the museum.
I hope this info is useful for someone planning a trip to BG.

Good information. I'll make sure and stay away from the Baymont. The build week on my 427 is 9/10. Waiting on a call from Gary or Lori with potential museum pick-up dates. Thanks!

Congrats!! I should be picking up the twin to yours minus the stripes by the end of Sept (build week 8/27). I usually stay at the Hilton behind Montana Grille. This will be my second museum delivery. I picked up my 06 convertible in Jan 2006.

For those doing museum delivery after the 14 Sep closing of tours, the museum delivery crew will give you a rain check for your VIP tour. You must call to schedule it with Gary or Lori after the plant reopens for public tours.

I have my dealer, the plant, and the museum doing everything they can to get my delivery before 14 Sep. Like everything else in life, there are no guarantees so it's nice to know that they are giving rain checks for the tours.

Default Rental Car One Way

Congratulations on the new car. The experience of the two tours is certainly worth it, as are the Museum staff ().

As to the rental car, from what I recall, out of Nashville there is a program with at least one of the car companies that you can literally leave the keys at the front desk of the Museum, car in the Museum parking lot, and they'll pick it up there.

Someone chime in and remind me which company it was---I think it was Avis.

Rental car company at Nashville airport with Museum drop-off is Enterprise. Details are on the NCM website.

Museum delivery is the best and Ron is a great guy to spend the day with!

Just to clarify we rented a car from Cleveland to BG because I hate flying.
Enterprise would not do a one way. Had we flown we certainly would have used Enterprise.
