Extreme dimensions carbon fiber hood
#2
I purchased one of their CF rear spoilers. It was a genuine POS. They took it back, then tried to say I did not have a return authorization number, which I did, then they said it was damaged by the return shipper (UPS) and I said that was between them and the shipper. Disputed the charge on my credit card, then, two months later, I get a full credit from them. Just FYI. I will not do business with them again.

Stay clear of them, I have the RK sport violator hood in carbon fiber. I had them paint the sides and leave the center exposed and the runners into the heat extracters exposed carbon fiber.
The fit was perfect on it.

Really like the hood, I wish they made one that didn't stick up in the middle like that - just a smooth/flat cross section with the vents on the side.

Here is the same hood (not in carbon fiber) on my Cyber Grey 2010 coupe.
A pretty nice hood for $800-$900.

That is gorgeous and tasteful. How was the fit on the APR rear carbon spoiler? I'd like to get a spoiler but I'm picky and seen many pics of poor fitment. Nothing worse than bad gaps.

Last year i purchased a Extreme Dimensions ZR2 carbon hood. Simply put - you get what you pay for. DO NOT EXPECT Extreme Dimensions to have ANY customer service as i was poorly treated by no responses on many emails to multiple. Only customer service that wanted and was pleasant to talk to was the distributor i bought from - Andysautosport.com . Feel free to read below of a quick understanding what you could be buying.
I was able to get the fitment decently and usable after lots of work. The hood "latches" were the only thing that lined up and worked quite easily by adjustment. You do have to cut out your crash hook openings but that is easy. I had to do CONSIDERABLE amount of work to the main hood hinges. After i have aligned and properly fitted the hood, i still had lots to work with as i had to cut out a section to clear the wipers. Yes, i had to cut out a good section and re fiberglass a little tub for the passenger wiper only. Then, the clear coat had a few good drips in it on the surface near the edges. This made me wet sand, re-clear, and buff out the hood. Now it looks good but there are many imperfections in the carbon weave itself to where it looks like there is a fold or something similar. The underside is rough but expected as its a fiberglass hood. The two cutouts that face the windshield were the worst. There is two large oval cuts which is okay. The problem is one is about 1.2 inches higher than the other and the other is 2 inches smaller of a oval so it just looks like a horrible mismatched routed view that even a 9 year old can do better. Good thing is that its thin fiberglass and you just have to make a new template over both and re cut the openings to match. I took many pictures and sent these to many emails with no response or a simple " We are sorry that the product does not meet your standards" kind of response with no implication of allowing a return or refund. Im glad i like to work on my car and do projects otherwise this hood would of been a nightmare.

All the CF hoods are very nice but expensive
Did my own, never cut into the structure stock hood integrity remains the same. Lower pressure sucks the hot air out. Fitment is perfect less then $50, I do not have a desire to spend upwards of $1500. For hot air extraction. But they are nice.
