how to remove the 2 Targa top holders in trunk. I mean the 2 small holders that are connected to the rear of the cargo area that holds the targa top.

There is a screw in the middle of each one. Look at them with a flashlight.

The ones on the wheelwell just snap on. BUT double check and be careful.

I have an 07 coupe. No screws holding the 2 small top holders to the rear of trunk. Looks like they pop off some how but not sure

The 2 small ones on the back of the trunk wall has one screw each. Those on the wheelwell/carpet don't.

do i have to remove the carpet to get to the screws?

The "hooks" to store the front of your targa top, have a plastic trim cover that just slips off if you pull up hard. But the hook itself is firmly mounted, IIRC it has a couple of torx head bolts that go down into the tub or perhaps even deeper.

No ideas about the rear clips.

I really don't recall but it'll only take a few minutes if you do have to drop the top portion of the carpet to get to the screws.

Yes, pull carpet back and there are two bolts on each one. Remove those and they come out. Do not pull on visible plastic part that top snaps onto or you will rip them off the rubber mount and they are ruined. Very easy, takes about 5 min to do right.
