Default quick help with buying a C6 with certified copy

Quick help guys, what should I do If I needed to buy a car with a certified copy instead of title. The owner says he misplaced the title so he got a certified copy from the dmv.

We would meet at the DMV to check it out. Any issues with this? This is all happening in 1 hour... Thanks

As long as the DMV certifies it, it should be OK

I am no expert in this by any means, but I would think that if you are both at the DMV together and they issue a certified copy and the sellers can has proof of no liens there sure be no problem. I don't think the DMV would issue a certified copy if there was a lien holder involved, but things do happen.

I just talked to my daughter and she works for the county tax collector and does this think all day long. She said that it is no problem. You should get a title and they would not release it if there was or it showed a lien holder.
