It's the splitter for us, we'll at least for my GS. Got my 2012 GS in April and the right side of my splitter is already scrapped up from coming out of my driveway yet no scratch marks on the air dam under the car. Sucks! I did sand it down a little so you won't see it but its just gonna continue to happen.

It is great that someone decided it was time to video that.
That said, I didn't need the video to show me since I knew a long time ago what is happnin'. It is still embarrassing when I scrape it coming in or out of my driveway and the whole neighborhood looks at me!

The salt flats are an easy day's drive from here but I don't live there.
Cool video.

Too cool. It sounds so horrible, but when you see the controlled deflection of the air dam, either baking up or going forward, you can plainly see their is no harm being done, other than a little abrasive wear. A well engineered component, its just a shame it makes such a horrible noise. You have to keep in mind that this air dam see one heck of a lot of pressure at 190 mph, so they couldn't make it too flexible or it wouldn't do it's job.

This would be a great video to show first-time owners who have joined the Corvette Forum! As a new owner last year, I was freaking out and convinced that I was damaging my car. I was considering expensive alterations to my driveway. I eventually learned, thanks to this forum, that bottom scraping is a normal fact of life for this car.
