Got my driver handbook today!
It was attempted to be delivered yesterday & I thought it was a grill for my Spirit so I had FedEx deliver the package to the closest Kinko's for a today pickup.
When I got there & saw the small box, I got to wondering what the item was as I hadn't ordered anything else.
Then I saw the words on the shipping label congratulations on your new corvette & then I knew what it was.
I'm pleased that it wasn't a GS/Z06/ZR1 thing only as I've read in other posts & that GM recognizes all new Corvette purchasers/owners.
So, in typical me fashion who loves to take pics & document stuff, here's pics on how the driver handbook was packed.
FedEx Box, duh:
Wrapped in bubble bag:
Wrapped in a 2nd clear bag:
Congrats letter:
Driver handbook box, which has this weird almost velvety/rubbery, if I'm describing it right, feels kinda like the feel of the door panels & dash in our cars:
Letter & driver handbook box side by side:
What's inside the driver handbook box:
Handbook binder open displaying card with owner name, VIN & where auto was purchased & driver handbook:
Closeup of card with owner name, VIN & where auto was purchased:
And the cover of the book:
I haven't fully opened the book, just lightly scanned pages as the binder is very stiff.
I guess along with my owners manual that I've not opened or read yet (since Sept. 5th, along with all of of my paperwork when I picked up the car is still in its plastic bag), will make for some good winter reading.

Got mine on Thursday; It is well done but not sure what all the hype has been about it. I suppose it's a nice collectors item to go with the car but other than that...

Remove the book, and you've got a document holder for your vehicle registration and insurance card that you can put in the glove box.

Nice. I received mine last year after purchasing my 11' 1LT so I dont think it is reserved for the higher end cars. I was surprised to get it as I had no idea it was coming. I am happy I did because this is my first new Corvette and I think it is a great add.

I got my 2013 brochure from Tommy several weeks ago.

Received my handbook in the mail yesterday. I was getting a bit concerned since I took delivery on June 14th at the museum. I wonder what the process is for distributing the handbooks to owners. Seems it would be based upon some confirmation of delivery.
