Default trying to add some options, need to re-program BCM?

this is an off the wall question, ive got a 2008 chevy 3500 duramax truck,it came with manual everything,,ive added GM factory power options

1.navigation radio
2.power locks
3.bluetooth
4.trailer brake controller
5.digital a/c heater controls
6.fog lights
7.back-up sensors
8.remote start
9.lighted sunvisors
10.homelink/garage door opener
11.2012 grille and bumper
12.cadillac/corvette remote fobs
13.power pedals
14.power windows
15.power seats

everything is factory GM parts[wiring-switchs-modules]the only options that dont work are the power locks/keyless entry[you can program keyfobs thru the dash and they chirp]-power pedals-remote start,i have an extra BCM out of an same year LTZ truck[tryed it it doesent help] ,im told i need to re-program/flash the BCM with a vin# that has these options/RPO codes,i cant get a dealer to do this,a guy i found on-line says i need to build a ''custom'' program to do this[but only wants to email back and forth, wont call or talk to me on a phone],are there any GM techs here that can guide me thru this?,i have GM factory service manuals and a GM tech2 scanner, but no access to GM global/TIS/2000

You, or the dealer, should be able to enable those options in your BCM with a Tech 2.

You shouldn't need TIS 2 Web or SPS, as there is no need to reprogram your ECM. You just need to enable those options in the BCM.

Your tech 2 will need to have the 2008 or better calibration installed, and I'm not positive if you need the CAN adapter for your truck.

Default How to Add OEM Rear Park Assist option

Sorry, but I cannot help with your question, though I am very impressed with the fact that you have added all those OEM options to your truck. I too have added some OEM options to my 2008 Tahoe LS and rear park assist is one of them, so I know it is not easy. I took my SUV to the local Chevy dealer to have the BCM reprogramed to get my system working but the technician there says I need a VCI code that only comes with a new dealer sold control module. I am no expert but after searching the internet for how to get a VCI code I have found out that they do not come with the part. At first I installed a salvage yard module and the BCM recognized it and sent the "Service Park Assist" msg to the DIC, I assume because the VIN in the module did not match the VIN in the BCM. Then when the tech said I need a new one I bought a new OEM surplus one off Ebay and the message went away, but it still does not work. I am curious as to how you got your rear park assist to work. Did you manage to get your BCM reprogramed or did you just bypass the BCM and install it like a rear camera so it only comes on when the vehicle is in reverse? I have read where GM tech support does not support or approve of adding GM options unless GM sells an accessory kit for it and that they do not provide any kind of warranty or SPS programing,/VCI code. Any information you or anybody else can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!
