Sorry, there was no little character to describe rolling my eyes as I typed. It was meant as a joke, due to all of the naysayers trying to pigeon hole the 427 vert into what it ISNT. To me, its just a really cool car that I am currently enjoying the heck out of as often as possible.

yes i know your intent.i like you have seen how some,i won't mention any groups treat the 427 as a red headed stepchild..we get that enough from the brits and the italians.zr1's 427's,z06'gs and the bace are part of a family the corvette family.the true sports car made im the usa.we.rep for chevy and i'm proud to be in any corvette c1 though c7.how bout some unity and lets save the wave....

Yeah, those new groups sound about right!

the 427 in reality is a little more than a grandsport just like (again)the zr1 is more than the zo6.but we are all corvettes and yes serve a different perpose.and i'm with the fellows that like it topless and still can have fun on track day.we aren't that far off the zo6's to tell much of a difference.but each boat floats differently.and this argument is realy not necessary you like what you like and when i cruise i like the wind in my hair and most everybody behind me trying to keep up. ps do not mean to afend and i am sorry if i did so.i do feel stongly about the 427 i have driven most of the corvette that i talk about, and i still stand behind the 427. it is unfair to be beat up by those's who drive corvettes.... not anyone here but those i have talk to in person.. i know that everyone is tired of my rant and raving so i will leave this alone.

its a funny thing this car. discuss it in the z forum, and you dont belong. Last week when I asked about the motor issues I was rtefered to the z forum. its just funny. its like any other dysfunctional family, it just depends on what day it is, lol.

Thank you. I got this to exactly match the color scheme of my Camaro ZL1 Convertible I took delivery of 08/29/2012. Now my stable is full and the herd is complete.

Of course you would not be welcome. Don't you know our 427 verts are inferior performers. Published stats by Chevy show Z06 vs. 427 Vert. times: 0-60 mph 3.7/3.8 sec., quarter mile 11.7 sec.@ 125mph/ 11.8 sec.@ 123mph. Of course top speed is limited drastically compared to a Z06 when the 427 has the top down. Chevy lists a top speed limitation of Z06- 198 mph / 427- 190 mph. I also own a 2011 Grand Sport Convt. and I love that vehicle exactly the way it is(it's a couple tenths off too). The funny thing I find is all the hoopla about the ZL1 Camaro; I also own a 2013 ZL1 Camaro Convt. and by statistical comparison the 427 Corvette out performs its supercharged LSA 6.2 ltr. V8. I know about the power/weight ratio differential but this shows you how each car should be appreciated and not criticized. I might be hung for saying this but I also find the Mustangs, Challengers and Vipers to be amazing pieces of American technological muscle too. I just happen to love my Chevrolets and in some previous cases, Pontiacs, a little more. Just because someone pays many thousands more for a vehicle doesn't automatically make his/her car better or him/her any better for that fact.

Well I am glad to hear from a couple of fellows so qualified as to be able to give that learned professional observation of my stated opinion. That's why I live where I do, in Tinley Park, Illinois. We have an infamous state looney bin here and I set up my home and garage close by. I certainly am glad you guys set me straight. I will forever hold your knowlegeable opinion out forth what it is worth to me- NOTHING!
